The Unravelling of Travelling is Ben's third album. It is a full concept album, split into three parts of seven tracks each. The album deals with the positive and negative emotions of moving from the UK to Australia (which Ben and his wife did in 2006). Part 1 is thinking about moving and the thought of leaving friends and family behind; Part 2 is the process of moving; Part 3 is shortly after getting settled and reminiscing about the past.
Many of the tracks were written as part of FAWM, a challenge that pushes composers to write 14 tracks in 28 days. After FAWM, Ben set up a private feedback group to gather comments on the tracks that would become Album 3.
Sitting on the corner of the sky was taken from an unfinished project, Citadel City.
Several tracks were not used from these sessions: Reality Check, Fortitude, Invisible in the Shadows, and Race Against Time. Additionally, one vocal track was in development around this time - The Way - but this still sits on the "unfinished" pile.
