Blog > A quick guide to the music software I use

If you're curious, here's a quick list of the music software I'm using at the moment:

That's really all I use! In the past, I have used other software and instruments, but this is where I'm at right now.

Good to see these on your list! I am waiting for a new Edirol midi controller to get delivered and have been looking into upgrading to SONAR producer after I learn the working of the more basic included software.

Any recommendations for getting up to speed and learning more about the music creation process with Sonar?

Hey Chris, my best tip is just to try things out. Open a new project or make a copy of an existing project, then try out all the menu options, buttons, and everything in the synth rack. SONAR has a lot in it, but it has a not-too-huge learning curve. Dimension Pro is a bit more complicated though. I recently upgraded to SONAR 8 and also bought Rapture, but I'm without a music PC at the moment so can't do much with them. Argh!
